What a great selection of beauty products! This is my third month of Ipsy and I will most likely continue on through the year. I first heard about this makeup subscription service from a friend who claimed that this would change my life. Verdict after three months: It hasn't changed my life per se, but it definitely has kept my makeup drawer stocked and up to date for the next year (I have enough eyeliner to wing the eyes of every woman in a small country...).
What came with my pretty gold package for this month was the adorable "Gudetama" bag that has the adorably lazy egg man printed on a very durable zippered pouch. Inside the pouch was the Lychee + Gold Seraphine Botanicals blush that is not only visually appealing, but practically glows from the white casing. Next I received two TonyMoly sheet masks which I will be promptly placing on my face after a long day of work. What I was most excited about was the Tarte "Park Avenue Princess" waterproof bronzer, which I know will make me feel like a golden goddess against this harsh Arizona sun. It is nearly a full sized sample which rocks! Next up, (Shocker!) I received another gel kohl liner from Ciate called "Wonderland", which was surprising to me because I honestly thought they only made nail polish...shows how much I actually know about makeup! Finally, I got a foam blending sponge which I'm actually not a huge fan of since I use a silicon sponge. I started out on the foam sponge and found it very messy, hard to clean, and left very gross residue on my skin, but I will give this sponge a chance...if my silicon one gets lost... My final thoughts (Update: 7/18/17): After having my boyfriend steal my Gudetama bag twice already, I can safely say that it will definitely be the envy of all my "Ipsy-less" friends! -The Lychee + Gold blush is gorgeous, it makes my cheeks shine and a highlighter isn't even needed after! -I'm OBSESSED with the TonyMoly sheet masks, they made my face very soft and supple after use and it's cool and refreshing to use...I might need to stock up on some for my next flight... -The Tarte bronzer was okay, it isn't ideal for my skin tone as it barely shows up. I can definitely see it working for someone with a paler or higher yellow complexion. -The Ciate liner was very creamy and glides on the eyelid. I'm not a huge fan of pencil liners and could definitely see it smearing on a warm day, but I will certainly use it as backup just in case my liquid runs out! -The foam blending sponge I was whining about in my previous post actually is great, it is soft and small enough to fit in the areas around my eyes for concealer blending! Verdict: Great bag! I used most of the things in it for my daily makeup routine and love the Gudetama bag itself! Now if only I could locate where my boyfriend stashed the bag after stealing it...again...
